DiceThere is a dice system installed in the COTI boards.
Usage | ||
[roll]xdy[/roll] [roll]xdy+z[/roll] [roll]xdy-z[/roll] [/roll] |
Generates a die-roll using fairly standard dice notations.
Note that there is cheating checking on display - once posted, the no rolls can be added or deleted in edit. Deleting generates a BIG cheater notice. Roll notations are altered into a different format. |
|
[rolln] | this is a result tag. It pulls roll n from the result list for that post from the database and displays it. If you add dice rolls to a post where you have quoted someone else's [roll1], their first roll will show up as matching your first roll, rather than actually showing their roll.
You do not enter this tag. It replaces the tag you enter. |
|
x | number of dice, and is optional (presumed to be 1 if not included)
y | sides per die, and can be any positive number above 1; it is required.
+z | add z to the total; optional.
-z | subtract z from the total; optional.
[roll]xdybd+z[/roll] | keeps the best d dice
Variations | ||
[roll][/roll] | generates just a total.
[rollv][/rollv] | generates a string showing each die.
[rollo][/rollo] | is like rollv, but each die open ends on it's maximum roll.
