I've been thinking: when Refereeing we produce a large amount of low-grade data (in-game trivia). The name of the Port warden on Denotam, the name of the PCs favorite bar on Lanth, the old belter in Glisten who is a source of useful information, and so on. And I've seen various articles in magazines over the years on how to make this easier (for example, keeping lists on hand of random names). But it occured to me that another solution might be to share this in-game trivia. Not only would it make the life of a Referee slightly easier, but it would make everyone's TU more compatable. And compatable trivia means less prep work needed when using someone else's adventure in your TU. (Its possible I'm overstating the case here but time will tell.)

The solution is to have a wiki site for in-game trivia. Anyone could add to it, visiting often, a factoid here, a factoid there, and over time it would become a real resource. So I've set one up on StuffOnline, you can find it here. People, places, establishments, customs, its all good.

Maybe even some of the best lines from "And then the fight sarted..." thread.

Sounds like a fun idea. The trick is getting people to add to it consistently, and then being able to get to the site during (at least) preparation for a session and (hopefully) while a session is being run.

StuffOnline is back up. Appologies for the outage. Seems the web server software stopped serving web pages. Hopefully this wont happen again but in any case the whole server is being replaced soon (before the end of the month).

Well this isn't supposed to be a definitive source, just a scrapbook of random notes that will be useful for Referee's. So, if its potentially useful (as opposed to just entertaining) and its yours (no copyright issues please) then sure, go right ahead.

As mentioned on the TML, there is already a Traveller Wiki. We support posting of individual ideas, but are more geared to a library data format. That does not preclude ship designs, notable personages, planets, etc. We have permission to publish more than fair use for library data, so copying of published material needs to be carefully considered, however if it is your own work, please feel free to put it up.
