144 Traveller items on eBay

Dear John, I hope this isn't too personal, but I have thought this many times when finding rarities on ebay; is it that you have grown tired of the material, it is unused, you are in to the "new" system (T20), or that financial needs prevail? Again, nothing personal, only curiosity. I have found many lost items and items passed by at their release due to real-time matters (long ago) when scouring the Internet, and have been grateful. When asking MWM whether reprints of the reprints would incorporate errata listed at Far Future, he replied there would probably not be any more reprints. I wanted to respond with the re-Marc...
... that if I had a million Credits, I would give him a third, keep a third, and save the remaining to pay the Imperium or it's terrestrial equivalent. Didn't know how that would be taken so I kept silent. Whatever your reason for selling, I would tell you as well as Marc Miller that I am grateful for the opportunity to enjoy all the hard work that has inspired so many of us throughout the years, and wish you well in your endeavors, and finances. And no. I am not running for an office.
May the stars be your destination.

Holy crap. The prices bid for some of those books are ridiculous... $71 for the Atlas of the Imperium?! With 5 days to go?!

John, you're going to make a absolute fortune out of all of that!

Now I wish that I had bought the $10 copy in okay condition from that vendor at Owlcon. I picked it up, thumbed through it, and decided that it wasn't worth $10 to me...

And Traveller Digest #5 is $85!!! *swoon*

Whoa! Granted I am a little off topic here, but that sure would be depressing news. I was looking forward to the last two CT Reprints. A lot of people will be quite bummed if they never appear.

What he likely meant was that he wouldn't be redoing the reprints again to incorporate the errata. The CT reprints are direct copies of the original material. They were done by taking photos of each page and then printing them. To add the errata in would require that each book be OCR'd and they they would have to be layed out all over again, incorporating the errata. A LOT of work.

Marc IS still planning to continue with the reprint series.

I am glad to hear that the reprints will continue.

However, the errata being referred to is almost assuredly the errata of the Reprints themselves. In other words, if there is a mistake in the original sources, there is nothing Marc can do easily. But it shouldn't be too much trouble to fix the page order in Double Adventures, reinsert the missing page in Alien Modules 5-8, and include a better scan of the mining chart in the first JTAS Reprint.

Oh. My. God.

The auction finished with the Atlas of the Imperium going for a whopping $202.50!!!!
