4th Rio Plata War

As of 2320 AD, the 4th Rio Plata War is on its second year, with Argentina and Brazil using Uruguay as their battlefield.

Will this conflict result in the final resolution in the Latin American power structure? Argentina seems to have gained a lot of power regarding Brazil's previously dominant position, with Argentina recently developing the second generation drive tuner to the world's amazement.

How is the war fought; hovertanks columns over the pampas or small raids of commandos fighting over strategical positions?

Or... could the fighting result in internal changes with Latin America falling behind economically, in a gaucho revolution abolishing the Argentine aristocracy or with Brazil devolving power?

A significant portion of the war is being fought through intermediaries: Brazilian-backed militias vs. Argentine-backed militias. On occasion, Brazil has faced Argentina directly, and such battles have been large set-piece affairs with enormous losses on both sides. Argentina is employing a large amount of first-rate Manchurian military equipment, while Brazil makes do with home-grown material. A small amount of western, mostly British and French, material has made its way to Brazil, but both nations are reluctant to get drawn in any further. They are still recovering from the Kafer War, and, to a lesser extent, the 2nd Central Asian War.
 
I would think that should the tide turn in Argentina's favour that the British would become much more active in assisting the Brazilians.

Yes, but for the moment they would prefer not to get directly involved. Too many British troops and aerospace assets are offworld. Some have been recalled, but it will take months to get them back.
 
Are the Argentinans trying to take the Falklands again? OR did they after the Twlight War? I don't remember any hints of that from the TW2000 games that I had.
