A Brief History of the Universe.

I’m planning on running a campaign in the OTU. What I’m looking for is a brief history to hand out to players so they have a basic understanding of the back ground. Anyone have one or know where I can find one?

Along the lines of "the current empire, called the Imperium, was founded blah blah blah. Space between the stars. Current Emperor is Stryphon. Unit of currancey is....

that kind of thing.

Traveller's Digest had a nice spread that took you up to the Rebellion. You could always omit that...

Everything depends upon the era of play, as you are doing the Mongoose route. Then I would just plunk them down on a world and leave the history alone for the time being.

Otherwise, you what is in the Traveller's Book as an introduction...

I guess the chronology of the Imperium (MT:IE pages 6-7) is far too brief, isn't it ?

Now without jocking, THe emperor's lists published on JTAS 4 page 8-9 and in MT:IE page 8-11, while note extensive history of the Imperium, may give you some hints and some chronolgy of the main events.
