I assume you mean the 1978 movie, The Wild Geese? And, not the 1927 silent movie, Wild Geese? (Or Wild Geese II?)

The Wild Geese, with Richard Harris ("A Man Called Horse" and the original Dumbledore), Richard Burton, Roger Moore and Hardy Kruger, has always been the first movie I ever think of when thinking of a merc campaign.

I agree with you on that. Almost put together a real life unit to go to Serbia in 1993 ish because of that book.
