Advice sought

All: am seeking advice about adventure material within an enclosed environment like a single spaceship or station that could be adapted for use by a small group without spaceship nor need to acquire one to travel (e.g ST: DS9). I intend to set these adventures on Koenig's Rock in the Bowman belt.

Am familiar with all GDW CT LBBs; Arcturus station seems awfully complicated to GM. Have used Death Station as part of my campaign. Skyrig will be a future episode in our campaign.

Materials from non Traveller sources also appreciated.

Thanks,

most living areas are ill-suited to kinetic actions.

keep in mind small environments, meaning limited available atmosphere and concentrated unevacuated toxic or explosive gasses. of course if a storage tank is ruptured this can result in significant overpressure or flooding situations too. and not all leaks are large, some are slow and sneaky. and while atmospheric pressure may be fine that doesn't mean that it's comprised of 22% oxygen anymore. loss of power, loose power lines, electrified equipment, gas/water/sewage jets obscuring vision, hydraulic lines spraying and obscuring face plates, 2000psi air or high pressure steam lines cutting things in half, loss of lighting, malfunctioning control systems, that sort of environment. and if you flood the bilges all kinds of space-age rats may come out looking to escape.

I ran a short-lived pbp game called combat ribbon involving some in-ship action. if you use the search feature to look up "ribbon" you'll find the thread. you might see something useful to your game.

Of course, Babylon 5 RPG material is out there; some of it might be useful. Mongoose published these for a while, and there are some B5 players who have shifted alliances over to Mongoose Traveller. In short: ask the Traveller forum on Mongoose's website, specifically about the Babylon 5 material.

Aside from that, The Traveller Adventure has at least one scenario taking place inside an environmentally sealed starport, borrowed out of subterranean caverns. There's even a map of the port and its startown, if I recall.

I believe the complex you are referring to is part of the MegaTraveller adventure "Knightfall", though there could be other complexes.

My first thought was to put FASA's Hotel complex in orbit, but in rereading the original post maybe wht is desired is more like the mining complex in Outand.

I thought about Knightfall, but no, I was specifically recalling a scenario in The Traveller Adventure. One of the starports, a class C, is carved out of an underground cavern system. The only bits protruding on the surface are the starship landing pads, and there's only a few of those. A key event in the adventure takes place there.
