All system data spreadsheet

Hi folks !

Perhaps my "seek & find" skill is too bad, but I did not find a "all-in-one" system data source.
Well, I guess at least robject has something like that on his harddisk

Anyway, thats why I put it all (everything regarding CT-data I could get from different sources) together in just one spreadsheet (Excel/OpenOffice).
With all the autofilter and sorting options this is seems really nice and pretty useful for me to find special configurations or make some statistics like Anthony Jackson did.

So if anybody else is interested in that, I will add a disclaimer, copyright remarks etc. and provide a download option.

Regards,

Mert

Sorry, it's not vastly clear to me what you're referring to here. Is this something that generates systems? Or that has every system in Charted Space on it? Or something else?

Hi Mal !

Just "Charted Space", put together to analyse things.... .
But still with all the generated "flaws" in it.

Well, if You would provide some ideas for automated correction of the UWP data I would implement it quickly

But for now its just a BIG list.....

Regards,

Mert

Suggestions:

For populated worlds...
- Raise TL for worlds below minimum TL required to survive based on atmosphere type;
- If Starport A, raise TL to a minimum of 9;
- If Starport B, raise TL to a minimum of 6.

For unpopulated worlds...
- Set Starport to X, and set Pop, Gov, Law and TL to zero.

For all...
- Recalculate trade codes so that they are consistent across the board.

Start with that, and I think you'll get rid of a lot of the more obvious exceptions that seem to trip people up, with the least amount of overall impact on the setting.

Hope this helps,
Flynn

You might want to starport "E" rather than starport "X" for zero population worlds:

Quote from Marc Miller (found at Core Routes FAQ)
I use E (hard bnedrock and little else for a spaceport) rather than X which doesn't mean "no spaceport" but instead "no one allowed in (by some interdicting authority)."

Hi Rain !

I will upload the textfile this afternoon and provide a link just in the next post here.

Another available upload will be a prototype of CommDelay, a visualisation software for the file above and the foundation of a Traveller route planing software.
(I like these AllInOne maps like the pdf created by robject or the maps created by Anthony Jackson or MadDog).

Regards,

Mert

I will provide two:
Once csv and one fixed length version.
The csv version is much easier to import to a spreadsheet program and the fixed length version is used by my software (and is more readable..)

Guess its online in half an hour...

I can donwload the .prn file.

But downloading the .csv file produces a "error 404: Datei nicht gefunden! Das angegebene Dokument konnte auf diesem Server leider nicht gefunden werden." error.

I look through the data, and it appears that Tobia has an Aslan Allegiance Code. That's definitely Mega-Traveller or later.

I also notice that a few rows down from Tobia, on the UWP for Cauldron/Reft, there is a note for it having a source of:
http://members.nova.org/~sol/core/.

This webpage redirects to:
www.solstation.com/core/

This webpage redirects to:
http://111george.com/core/index.htm

This source line appears in several other places.

Maybe the master file can be updated with the current URL?

Sorry Chris...

The link should be:
CSV File
(text turned to test...)

I will rework and update the file continuously, according to the input given here.....

Best regards,

Mert

I notice that Core sector has no world called Capital. However, Sylea does seem to be present. That name should be used only pre-Founding. It's Allegiance Code is "IM[S". I don't recognize this (and it seems to be present on a random scattering of worlds; like Shand/Core, and Urir Gug/Core).

Hi Rain !

Thats Excel.
It says comma seperated and it is semicolon separated after export...
Well, I thought comma means semicolon in english but more likely its a locals setting problem.

Guess it will be a bit work to clean up all these data. I will check, what could be done programmatically.
Hopefully Malenfant might provide his UWP correction rules soon.
At least I found this format more useful than these purely sector oriented approaches...

Thanks for these correction hints so far

Do You know other data sources, than MadDogs and Anthony Jacksons ?

Have You checked the viewer program ?
I wonder if the display routines are fast enough....

Regards,

Mert
