I am relatively adept at figuring out complex instructions, at least I thought so, until I came upon this passage about creating animal encounters:
Page 396ish
"Roll 1d20, once for each column, to determine any natural armor, what type of natural attacks the creature has, how well it attacks, the damage it may inflict, and its saving throw modifiers."
Okay makes sense.
"If the roll results in (+6), roll again and add a modifier of +6 to the roll."
Means: if you roll a 6 or greater then roll again and add a modifier of +6 to the new roll. This shifts the rolls to a higher portion of the chart, got it.
"If (+6) is rolled again, just reroll without the +6 modifier."
Means: If your new roll, which was made because you rolled a 6 or greater the first time, is 6 or greater then just reroll again ignoring the +6 modifier.
Is this correct or am I missing something? And we do this for each of the columns in each of the "Animal Attacks, Armor, and Saves" table?
Also, I assume that armor class is determined by taking a base 10 and then adding the Dexterity and Size modifiers. Is this correct?
