Armor (mustering benefit)

I have a question regarding getting armor as a mustering benefit.

Some muster benefits specifically state that you take the lowest TL item of that type however under armor, it does not state this.

Just want to get your opinions. Is it ok to take the very best, highest TL, most expensive armor as your mustering benefit?

I allow anything except Battlearmor. Not because of any restriction in the book, but it is not something I want to deal with at the start as a GM. ;)

As for Tech Level, I do not restrict the other armor.

I'd limit it to the TL of the homeworld for anyone not in Navy, Marine, Scout, or Merchant.

If skilled, and not booted, I'd even allow battledress... and I've allowed more than one character an FGMP-15 as a MOB...

Yup.

I always considerd Battledress and Body armor to be viable "weapons" reciepts.

In general, those taking FGMP's have used them against ships.

This roll has come up for me twice so far and both opted for combat armor....I ruled that they can take the TL 11 armor and can upgrade if they roll again like is described in the other sections that allow items.

Umm, if the Admiral Count is asking then whatever a High Social Personage can afford....and Blade-5 and Leadership-1? Really, do you like to Duel perhaps..? I could use a Duelist/Champion in My Service..*grins the Patented Noble Grin*

And I would go with what Aramis said, but you'd better be legal with those heaters, hey..

OOC: Got to go friends RL....
