Description:

The Atlantica Class Free Trader is the first ship to come off the line from Oceanus Shipyards since the company went into business in early 1190. It is a new company, which was the first to produce brand new starships in the Less-Than-600-dTon range in the Asimikigir Confederation since the Great Virus Catastrophe of 1130. While the Menderes Corporation focused on rebuilding larger vessels for their corporate shipping line, Oceanus focuses upon the Free Traders who need reliable ships that can go anywhere.

This particular design is pretty much in line with just about every other 200-dTon free trader vessel in existance - except for its 3-G maneuvering thruster plates. This allows the vessel to get away from someone (or something) expecting a slower tug to pounce upon. The ship mounts 2 hardpoints, but no weapons are stock. The #1 modification is a double missile turret and a single sandcaster turret. The Atlantica also shows it's Human/Vargr heritage. Its sleek wedge shape is adorned with a few dorsal and ventral fins. Most Vargr captains have their ships painted a lovely florescent green mixed with orange stripes, while Human crew tend to go for more conservative hues. All in all, the Atlantica shows the good side of Human/Vargr co-operation.

I like the plans, especially the huge fins, but ...

* Does the crew shower have to have a door facing the door to the passenger lounge?
"Betty ... what is it?"
"Why Horace, I thought I just saw a naked Vargr!"
* If I were the Captain I'd want an iris valve to the passenger lounge (more secure) and a normal sliding door to the crew lounge (more casual).

* "Hardpoint" is misspelled on Deckplan A.

* What's the dark blue cylinder behind the bridge? Fuel? If so, where else is it?

* Those crew quarters sure are small! (but that's Grendel's fault!)

</font>[/QUOTE]I hadn't checkup up on the plan Key... I took them for Iris Valves ;) anyway, you could make them what you want

As for the big Blue thing behind the bridge, it could be the top fin

The large object behind the bridge is the top fin. It is full of fuel, as is most of the unused portion of the hull. I should probably label fuel areas.
The crew quarters are my doing. They are standard small cabins. I substituted small cabins for the crew to increase the useable space for passengers. I view crew quarters a little differently than most, having lived on ships before. Those are actually pretty spacious.
As for the shower, my bust
, the passengers might have a problem with naked Vargar butt being seen from the lounge. I will change that.
The Captain's cabin was tough though. I wanted the Captain to be accessable to the passengers, but needed to secure the crew area. The sliding door can easily be swapped for an iris.
I also forgot the air raft. I figured it the plan of the cargo bay, figuring that way you can have an air raft, or a ground vehicle.

I have a separate question about the crew quarters. The design stats include 10 staterooms, but these are all accounted for before you get to the crew cabins: seven standard passenger staterooms, one double stateroom suite, and the captain's cabin. So where do those crew cabins come from?

On the title page of the plan, the specs are slightly different. They call for 9 staterooms, and 2 small cabins.
As for the space in the staterooms. I took a little liberty with the tonnage. Each stateroom is 4 tons by spec, using 2.5 ton for each room, then 1 ton each for common areas. That left 4.5 tons to play with. Some to galley (includes laundry
), some to extra space in the suite, and #7 stateroom. All life support equipment is assumed in the floor or overhead. The more staterooms you have the more you can play with ships facilities. The overall tonnage remains correct.

I have made the corrections from the above posts, and posted RevA.

For future reference, my spelling is very bad. I are a Marine.
