What data information does AotI actually provide?

I know it gives the names of all HiPop worlds - does it give Starport types as well?

It really is not worth forking out for. The money this goes for on e-bay is stupid. Unless you're an ardent collector wait for an FFE reprint to contain it or use on of the many excellent Traveller mapping sites available on t'internet.

I bought it when it first hit the shelves in the UK and was excited by it for about 30mins until I realised how little use it was. If I had wanted canon data I wanted it all, if I wanted to roll my own I would have started from scratch, not tried to fit around someone else's data.

I agree with you, Border Reiver. I'vre got no intentions of buying a copy off eBay due to the (as you corectly stated) high prices the book sells for.

I just need to know what elements of UWP/system data are included in AotI, for my own purposes.

It doesn't even make a clear delineation of subsectors. IIRC, the subsector borders have very slight spacing increase.

It also uses staggered squares, not proper hexes.

I never really used it until I got the whole GEnie database...
