It is a bit ad-laden, but this "camper" has a lot of options that would work in a Traveller universe:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/enthusiasts/this-mercedes-unimog-camper-is-the-ultimate-go-anywhere-rv/ar-BBLSUbN?ocid=spartanntp#image=BBLSUbN_1|1

from the article (I've bolded a couple of things that I thought was interesting):
What you wouldn’t expect from a typical RV, however, is the Unimog’s insane off-road prowess. Aside from the extreme ground clearance, the full-time AWD system has low-range and diff-lock capabilities for accessing areas well-and-truly off the beaten path. In fact, the vehicle has up to 140 on-board functions – one of which includes a hydraulic four-point lift system to remove wheels if necessary – and it’s all touchscreen-controlled inside the vehicle. It can carry 211 gallons (800 liters) of fuel, which is enough to give this uber RV a ridiculous range of over 2,100 miles (3,500 kilometers). There’s also room for 227 gallons (860 liters) of water, and with options like winches and chainsaws available, occupants in the EarthCruiser Explorer XPR440 can get seriously lost if they so desire.

So, in this vehicle which is bouncing over a very rough semi-road, approaching a muddy sloped part of the road with a snow patch just beyond, you are trying to change the 4wd setting on a touch-sensitive screen where you have to touch the correct 1" square once the first time.

Sorry, that's a bug to me, not a feature - a bug caused by an engineer who has never even been in a vehicle that wasn't on a concrete or asphalt road.

Very good point. I have major problems with the touch screen on my phone when riding on one of less than adequately maintained Illinois roads.

TL 8?

That Unicat on the video reminds me of either the Mammoth Car, from Speed Racer, or the vehicle Jan Michael-Vincent drove in Damnation Ally.

This truck is designed to support rally teams.

It should be noted that they RACE trucks like this (big, 3 man team, 3 axle, 6x6) in rallies. Imagine the fun time digging one of these things out of the sand.

I recently designed a scout ATV and ended up doing the main unit/trailer part. Seemed to be highly logical as you can standardize the basic crew tractor part for mass production then tailor the trailer for the mission, to include specialized labs, emergency manufacturing, animal/plant/mineral study, decontamination, etc or personnel housing as needed..

Load up the right trailers from the base, then just go. Seems more efficient then customizing the starship per mission.

It is not amphibious, so it is not a true all terrain vehicle, but just an off-road one.

Personally, I will take a DUKW, and put four 55-gallon drums of fuel in the cargo compartment, along with my camping gear, and pretty much have the equivalent, except I can also cross rivers and lakes. A fully rebuilt DUKW will run about $70,000. I suspect that this vehicle runs considerably more than that.

I just have not managed to talk my wife into this as yet.
