Balancing

Hallo,

My Problem with T20 are the high stamina and lifeblood values of the Ursa and Virushu species in comparison to the values of animals made through the animal encounter process at the end of the THB.
Values around one and a half to double constitution would be more realistic!
Please tell me your opinion.

Of course, the flip answer is that if your only problem with T20 is the high stamina and lifeblood values for the Virushi, then it's easy enough to fix.

Virushi in classic traveller (and GURPS for that matter) have the equivalent of very high stamina and lifeblood.

I think that the Virushi and Ursa stamina and lifeblood values are realistic. After all, especially for the Virushi, they're basically a sentient rhino with 2 extra limbs. Rhinos (and kodiak bears for that matter), aren't only 1 and a half times harder to kill than your average human.

The point with the Virushi, at least, is that they are supposed to avoid combat like the plague. So, part of the balance comes into the fact that the Virushi need to be played properly (extreme pacifists). The other balancing parts are the extra 3 race levels (not the right term, but that's the idea) that the Virushi have to take (so they advance slower) and the additional costs for Virushi rated items (which probably should be bumped up more).

You say a Rhinoceros is not only one and a half stronger than men. So why are the animals made through the animal encounter rules of T20 very much weaker than real ones (like Rhinos)?
