Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
So, this is a "Subway-ish" style map of the worlds, moons and orbits in the Ghandi System (Lanth/Spinward Marches)
I started with the UWP for the system, and fed that into Stuart's "Heaven & Earth"
LOL,
No, it is not to scale.
I first did this to the Denotam system (which can be seen on http://www.usedstarships.com/Hist_173_complications_high_low.htm)
I do this to help my players understand the layout of the system and then verbally explain the fact that...
...Say, in this case, the outermost planet and its moon are distant. So, there is space for the Binary Companion and it's worlds to orbit "in plane" within the gap.
I also point out that while the outermost planet and its moon are distant, they are bodies "with fluid oceans".
I then ask those players who's characters are scientifically included..."how is that possible so far from the system's primary and not receiving much
heat from the Companion star?"
So, whatever they are doing, this is another hook for them to chose to explore
