Brilliant Lances damage question

The chart of critical damage vs ship size (found on the player cards) shows damage to 201+ which does one critical verses a gigantic ship. Since large mesons do thousands of points of damage is therre an expanded damage chart available?

For mesonguns i would have given damage in another way. As everything within dangerspace is killed, I would calculate the size of the dangerspace vs the ship size. If the DS are larger than the length of the ship, it is toast. Anything else will cripple it.

How to calculate DS? unfortunately netiher BL or FF&S(2) gives formulas for this, even when Striker II got Meson Artillery with DS. If you search the forums here, I think you might find a formula for calculating DS for meson guns.
