Brilliant Lances: Rampart fighter

I am attempting to build the Rampart from the design rules.

9 dtons... AF Cylinder... Armor Rating 62. I assumed TL 14 Bonded SD armor.

2.2 cm * Toughess 28 = 61.6. (Round up to 62)

Material Volume is 1.8 for the 9 dtons. Multiply by 1.3 for the AF to get 2.34. With 2.2 cm of armor, we lose 2.2 * 2.34 = 5.148 m3 of volume from our total available of 126.

Price is .028 * 2.2 = 3.8808 and Mass is 15 * 2.34 * 2.2 = 77.22.

SA us 2.34 * 100 = 234 available?

Wah. My head's spinning.
 
Looks roughly right, but I'll double-check FF&S.

There's also a 1.1 multiplier for the cylinder form so your calcs should be x (1.3 x 1.1) or 1.43. This gives a base volume of 2.574 and 257 m^2 for SA. Now you get to do the internal structure calcs.
 
Which spreadsheet?

I have Antii Lahiten's (sp?) old ones. They're great - but I need an old verion of excell installed to make it work today :(

Just in case you were unaware the Brilliant Lances version of the Rampart is the last entry in the Brilliant Lances Technical Booklet and is of 15 displacement tons in volume:)

I'll download the latest version of Open Office and give it a go sometime this week.

*sigh* there was a lot of lovely TNE stuff out on the ol' web back in the days of BARD and TNE-RCES.

I've got some TNE stuff at skaran.net (go to the Banners Campaign section for most of it)

Most of the BARD stuff is still on-line at www.downport. I don't know if the missing bits will ever be resotred though. I know I have somewhere a large chunk of this site dated after the version still on-line. Have to check with downport once I find it to see if they want it.
