Hello once again all,
As suggested on the topic CT Book 2 Space Combat Return Laser Fire I'm comparing both CT Mayday and Special Supplement 3 to the rules in CT Book 2.
Looking over the Consolidated CT Errata v .07 for Mayday on pages 44-45 there appears to be a conflict between
"Page 8, Standard Missiles (correction): The standard missile should have 5G6 constant acceleration, a homing guidance system, and proximity detonation. Such a missile would cost Cr5,400 on Errata page 45" and the Building Missiles rules in Mayday.
I'm using the copy of Mayday in FFE 005 which doesn't have page numbers.
From Types of Missiles:
"The guidance and propulsion table indicates some relationships between the various types of missile systems which are possible and available."
The Guidance-Propulsion Systems Table list the Propulsion Systems in the first column and the Guidance Systems form columns 2 through 5.
The correction lists a standard missile as 5G6 constant acceleration homing guidance system using proximity detention.
The Column 1 lists the Constant propulsion system as the first entry and Column 2 is for a Homing Guidance system. The intersection row has No as the entry and the Note below the table indicates that the two systems are not compatible.
Changing the Guidance-Propulsion Systems Table entry for a constant acceleration homing missile from No to Allowed will return the results in the errata.
Alternating by changing the errata propulsion system from constant back to limitless also returns a cost of Cr 5,400
Recommendation 1: Change the errata propulsion system from constant to limitless also returns a cost of Cr 5,400
