Hey Everybody!

I've been putting a list together of the different adventures that happen in the Regina Subsector and I had to ask: what kind of information can I post on CotI? Can I list each world name? Can I list if they are on an X-Boat route? Can I list the break down of the UWP for each world? Can I list if there's a Gas Giant in-system? Etc...

Sounds reasonable. Take a look at our Fair Use guidelines, they are taken directly from FFE's guidelines (which I can't find at the moment).

If you do find a copy of FFE's fair use guidelines, either in file format or via an active link, I'd be very interested. The only link I've been able to find (http://www.farfuture.net/ffe/n7001.html) is quite dead.

So basically most of the work is done for me. This is already a dedicated Traveller website, so I don't need to notify MWM if I post it here for everyone's use and not just my own, and the disclaimer is already at the bottom of the website, right? Or am I reading that wrong? I think I might still need the disclaimer.

You don't need a disclaimer on anything you post here. I'm the one who makes the final call on what is or isn't fair use for the site anyway. If I decided it doesn't belong it won't. If Marc asks me to remove it, it disappears, if I'm not sure I just call Marc and ask him, but that doesn't happen much. ;)

For ease of future reference if ever needed I have located my copy of FFE's Fair Use Guidelines and have added them to the FAQ list on these forums. This way they are always handy if you ever need to reference them.

That's very helpful. Thank you.

Out of curiosity, what would one do if a project they're contemplating falls outside one or more of the explicit provisions of the Fair Use Guide? For either company, but in particular FFE. Say I'm interested in the rules content of one of the books for instance.

Contact Marc Miller directly about FFE products: farfuture (the @ sign) farfuture.net

That address should reach him.

Just a thought. What if I was interested in putting together a supplement for the game and wish to sell it (Not saying I am because I'm not). How would we go about doing that? Would there be an up-front fee or royalties paid? Just thought I would throw that out there.

If you want to do it yourself you need a license from Marc or if for T20 a sublicense from me. Your other option is to offer it to an existing publisher (*waves*) and see if they are interested in publishing it.

For a license yes there are generally upfront fees and royalties paid. The upfront fee is generally applied against royalties owed.

Thanks for the quick reply. I had an idea for an adventure that would include a lot of cool maps and stuff but just don't have the time at the moment.

Hunter did you get the files I sent?
