Excess Stamina Damage

Turkina

SOC-3
Is excess stamina damage carried over to LifeBlood or just lost?

For example someone on 10 stam 5 LB and AR 6
gets hit and takes 2D12 (gauss), two 8's rolled.

Thats 16 stamina, and 3 LB damage.

If its carried over then they are on 0 Stam and -4 LB (Dead or at least on their way)!

or...

Not carried over then they are on 0 stam and 2 LB
(out cold).

I am fairly certain that they are last. I will have to double check my rulebook when I get home.

In any case going to zero stamina would render the character unconsious.

I stand corrected then. By the master no less. I must have been confused by our house rules. My group plays things a little less deadly than the official rules.

heh, I rand a demo of T20 combat for an 3.5 D&D guy to show him what lethal was....

the combat lasted 2 rounds

he was impressed
and decided not to play :(

Hate to hear that, but it is fairly easy to scale the damage back to a standard d20 game simply by dropping lifeblood and having all weapons do stamina damage instead.

We use a couple of house rules to make our T20 less deadly than standard, but not as extreme as D&D 3.5.

We calculate damage as per the rules, but the characters add one one Lifeblood point per level, we don't cary exesses stamina damage into lifeblood. Crits do the extra damage, but armour still counts.

I am a big fan of action movies and I prefer things to be a little cinematic we try to work in a big scrap every few sessions.

happy gaming

Thanks for all that.
Given me a couple of ideas.

Just received "The Gateway Campaign Pack" BTW.
Brilliant work Hunter & Gang.
