FASA, Judges Guild and Paranoia Press on CDROM

Annoyingly, I am certain this topic came up not so long ago, but the searching facility has defeated me; FASA and CDROM bring back tons of stuff!!

What was the fate of the FASA disk I remember hearing about? I've just been cataloging some of my FASA and Paranoia Press stuff, thinking how much more useful they would be in scanned format, rather than me gingerly taking them out of their boarded cellophane wrappers each time, dreading any form of fold or scuff I might make on them....

That's odd. The subject did come up about 6 months ago. Hmmm, I'll have to look through my posts and see if I posted. The CD was in the works - I was looking forward to it coming out. Now I don't see anything on the Far Future website. That would be too bad if it fell through somehow.

I doubt it has been cancelled; Marc is not noted for timely completion lately.

If you look at the Traveller & JTAS CDs themselves, there is a 'Classic Traveller 3 - the Apocrypha' listed. Hopefully it is just a back-burner - I too would love to get all (or at least most) of the supplements - many were outstanding (I have most of the High Passage mags and they are full of great stuff)

Well everyone remember the era when this older stuff was printed. These days you can send a file to the printer and they can simply run coppies off (ok well its probably not that simple).

I know our documentation people do this with our PDFs. The older stuff probably has to be scanned, and that is a big job, even if you can find copies of the work in good enough shape to scan.

We also have to admit that the Golden Age of the RPG is over. I am sad about it too, but unfortunatley this is true. I would imagine that game designers had to take other jobs in many cases, and do not have as much time to devote to creating new works.
