Favorite, All-Time Bestus, Classic Traveller Scenario?

Ohhh....that's a hard one.

Across the Bright Face...great freakin' exploratory/travel adventure.

Chamanx Plague...great freakin' bug hunt.

The Traveller Adventure...great freakin' overall campaign.

There are so many to choose from.

OK. Gotta pick only one.

If you're on a desert island, and you've only got the first three LBBs, two dice, and one adventure, what would it be?

It can be any published Traveller adventure for any version of Traveller. It can be in an official product, a fan adventure published on the net, published in a magazine or a fanzine...it just can't be something that can't be referenced, like that bad-assed scenario your GM made up on the fly all those years ago and all of you still talk about it.

It's got to be something people can find and play, but it certainly doesn't have to be originally meant for Classic Traveller. Adventures for other versions of Traveller are easily used with CT (but yes, it does have to be a Traveller adventure scenario--no Gamma World conversions!).

So, what will it be?

What's your choice?

Out of all the Traveller you've played (or read) in your past, which adventure would you say is the overall best one you've ever seen?

Me?

I almost picked The Traveller Adventure. It's so long, and it covers all-things-Traveller.

But, I'm going to have to do with BITS' new adventure called Cold Dark Grave.

That's my pick.

That's what I think is the best Traveller adventure ever written.

What's your choice?

Remember, you can only pick ONE!

It has to be 'Urygadn of the Seven Pillars' (sp?)

Great world, great backstory - action right from the off, atmosphere and depth.

Wonderful. Dune. For CT Traveller.

Well, the "Desert Island" thing changes the equation. I'd probably say the Traveller Adventure, because if you are on the desert island, it's got to last a while.

But really, I think my favorite CT adventure was Murder on Arcturus station. I always thought it was especially clever/handy to have a totally flexible mystery adventure that lets the ref pick out the details.

The Sky Raiders trilogy. No competition (assuming you ar going to let me have the three books as one adventure...)

I'd go with the Sky Raiders trilogy as well.

Of course, if you just need the adventure to take a lot of game-time, you can't beat the Introductory Adventure of having to visit every planet in the Spinward Marches to re-check the USP statistics!

The Aramanx dream ticket in LBB:4 Mercenary. For Striker players it is the ultimate...
"...enemy forces can be expected to amount to 40 to 60 divisions, mostly infantry, with a number of brigade-sized armoured units..."

(this war is also described in the Traveller Adventure of course in "The Wolf At The Door")
