According to Traders and Gunboats, The Firey is supposedly identical in layout to the Gazelle, but has plane-form hull plating on the outer surfaces. The gig fits into a socket on the underside, and the engines sort of bulge out of the plating. Supposedly, the streamlining is the only major change in the design other than the fact that the drop tanks become permenant fixtures. (Supplement 7, Traders and Gunboats, P. 34)
Yes, I remember that. But I also remember a deckplan drawn up that looked alot like the "Better Duck" (Another good name for an attack ship, but thats another discussion thread)Fiery Class Close Escort drawn up for GT. Seems that it was drawn prior to that though, in one of the JTAS like, aftermarket supplements. Just wondering if anyone knew the website or the source material from which it came.
