There's a linux, Mac, and Windows version.

The mac version compiles my old starfire stuff (originally written for QB2 under dos), and it runs as a unix executable. And it does handle the filesystem issue by using windows style \ for directory delimiters... but it runs.
 
The last time I tried this, it wouldn't handle compiling GALACTIC (QB4.5) into a usable executable. I don't quite remember what the problem was. Maybe it's time to take another look at it...
