Free Starter Traveller Download at DriveThruRPG & CT Books

not sure if this has already been posted somewhere else, but I thought I'd mention that DriveThruRPG has a free download of Starter Traveller:-

Looks like FarFuture (under the GDW label) has also posted individual downloads of the Classic Traveller books!

Caught up with Announcements

... apologies to Aramis who has already posted news of this in another thread, I've managed to get a full update now of all the threads, which I hadn't before.

I just duped this thread into the News, specifically so it would hit the front page.

In my notes for my evaluation of the CD-ROM PDF's, I stated that the scan for Starter Traveller was poor, and that p. 8 was upside down. Now, the first two PDF's I DL'ed from Drivethru are pretty darned good, but the third of lesser--but still legible-- quality. Page 8 here is right-side up.

Now, if only my favorite book, Scouts, would get a re-scan. *crosses fingers*

Based on THIS link it looks like there was indeed a re-scan of Scouts, but I'd have to shell out another USD 4 for the 'upgrade'.

My experience with FFE/Marc suggests that it might be worth your while to ask him about a replacement if the quality of the original is unacceptable. My 2cr.

The 'original' CD-ROM had roughly 25% bad scans and/or missing pages. (See stickied thread above.) I don't think there will be a replacement for those of us who bought it. :nonono:
