[FS] Rarity and value of 3 items?

Alex

SOC-4
Hi, I've got some Traveller items which I've wanted to part with for a while, but I've been unable to locate prices and sales histories for any of them. As I understand it they are mostly somewhat rare, and some might be verging on treasured. What I'd like to know is what these items might go for. If anyone wants to make a fair offer for them, I'm ready to listen after I've heard a few comments from the locals.

Drakne Station, Judges Guild No. 105, (c) 1979, 64p large format paper - cover good with small discoloration and ink name small in corner, staples solid with minimal rust for age, interior perfect with bright white paper and dark black ink, no other marks, no missing pages

I.S.C.V.: LEANDER, FASA, (c) 1981, 11x17 blueprints at 15mm scale and enclosed scenarios - cover and interior flawless, still in protective plastic collector's sleeve since original sale, no fading or staining or marks of any kind

Grand Survey, Digest Group Publications, (c) 1986, 48p large format softcover - cover good with scuffing of color from sliding against other booklets, staples solid with no discoloration, interior perfect with bright white paper and dark black ink, no other marks, no missing pages

Judges Guild products turn up with a fair degree of regularity on eBay at bargain basement prices, often still in the original shrink. For example you could get Drakne Station in mint shrink-wrapped condition, with 11 other books, for about £6.

FASA stuff is much less common from my experience. There's very little on at present and the only Traveller stuff has a very high asking price on a "Buy it Now"

There is one seller offering Grand Suvey http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Traveller-Gra...hash=item270250473210&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177 but the price is so extreme as to be ridiculous. I'd be surprised to see it go - but a serious collector may want it. I'm a bit of an collector, but I wouldn't pay that much for it (maybe a quarter to a third of the asking price, if I was feeling rich!), but the DGP stuff is pseudo-canonical and has not been re-issued. (I have the MT World Builders Handbook, which contains it all anyway). You could give it a shot, though.

Hope that helps, and, of course, I could be wrong (I usually am!) :)

The stuff I've seen for sale seems to follow what the elusive Dr. Moose advises. FASA gets a good price. DGP stuff, if rare, can too. Judges Guild, not so much.

Ok, here is what I found:

Drakne Station has had a few sell in the last little while. One was a "Buy Now" at $2.99 plus shipment of $3.50 USD and it did not sell.

The only Grand Suvey I could find that sold, sold for just over $80 USD.

The I.S.C.V.: LEANDER; I could not find one that has sold in the resent past. But the larger full sets of FASA 15mm deck plans sold for between $40 and $55 USD so this one might be worth selling right now as it has not been up for the last little while.

Just my .02

Drakne is worth about 5-10$

Most of that judges guild stuff is sold in huge lots for like 20-40.00 for a big box of those, assorted, in shrink, unopened from the 70's. I've got piles of those, including multiple drakne, that i won't even bother putting on Ebay, since there;s 5 or 6 guys that sell them, month to month in those huge lots.

FASA Leander about 50$ - ?? It's sufficiently rare, that you can pretty much name a price, and wait. I;ve never seen one. I've got those big honking large portfolio deckplans, and I'll never sell them, too rare.

Grand Survey in any condition, other than very poor goes for 40.00 at least up to around 80. I've got two copies, but I've been hoarding them. Paired with Grand Census in good condition, you might get 80.00 - 100 or so from a die hard collector.

NO way is GS worth 116 pounds.

People that think it is, email me. :)
