Futurama+traveller=?

ok, since cartoon network has been running futurama almost coninuously for the ecks-mas and new-years I've had the chance to put my mind on neutral and (re)enjoy the ride....
...but, my mind being what it is got to pondering things like how could I write this up in traveller? (ct of course...)

Things like:
Planet express ship?
earth's tech level by then.
characters (professor, leela, hermes, fry, amy, zoidberg...)

could bender be done with the robots book?

alien species (the sewer mutants, zoidberg's race, kif's, etc...)

anyone want to pipe in? or have I finally sailed off the edge of the universe?

I don't think you've finally sailed off the edge. I've been working on and off on a TWERPS version of Futurama. That aside, yes, I think it would be possible. A lot of the tech (including weird science) and aliens are contextual for the scenes in question. The only real problem I can see is getting the right group of players together.

This, for me, is like Frosties and french fries. It can be done, and I might try it to see if I like it, but I wouldn't have thought of it on my own.

So it's not crazy; do it and show me.
