Galian Federation

Jame,

32 Starsystems in the Alpha & Gamma quads of the Gateway sector.

"A mere remnant of the Galian Trade League."

"Holds dear the principles of free trade and democracy."

Has friendly relations with the Imperium.

The Navy is TL-9 (hulls and backup components), and is TL-A for weapons, drives, and electronics (all imported). It has a good mix of cruiser sized major units and light anti-piracy.

More, of course, can be located in GTD.

Okay, I've got Gateway to Destiny, and have enjoyed it, but is there anything interesting that isn't covered in the book? Like maybe intelligence agencies (which I ask about because of a character I'm using)?

Jame,

Have you checked out the various Gateway Domain EPIC adventures? At least one organization, the Loyal Sector Guard, gets treatment in one of them (drawing a blank on which at the moment). Actually all of the EPICs are good for additional detail, as is the Sydmic Cluster PDF and the Linkworlds Cluster book that comes with the GM screen.

I always thought that the LSG was an Imperial organization, not part of the Galian Federation...

It is a pseudo-Imperial organisation - technically illegal, lots of popular support though so the authorities tolerate them - and it's base of operations is in Ley Sector... not the Galian Federation.

I don't know why it was brought up.

I think he's trying to talk me into buying the EAs. I will, once I talk someone into giving me a job - and that is in the part of the future that I can't predict yet.

I'd ask The Powers That Be, but I might get either a "we can't tell you yet" or more than I can use...

There is very little in any of the EAs about the Galian Federation in any of the material published so far. Only two of the EAs (AFAIK) take you into the Gateway Sector or even to the vicinity thereof. Pretty much you are on your own, or the Ref's on his/her own.)

The fourth DGP MegaTraveller Journal, if you can find it, has some good information. It includes details on Gateway Stellar Intelligence which may be of interest to you.
I'm not sure if the same things are covered in the product you have, as I have not yet got around to buying a copy.

Nope, the MT4 is superceeded by the material in the new book. In a way.

But, I can really recommend getting the MT4. Check the post from Joe Fugate, he might still have issues left. A bargain.

Would there be anywhere I can get some useful information for running a campaign in/between the Galian Federation and the Imperium?

Since you've got Gateway to Destiny. I'd start there. IIRC in the back there's a few tips on various campaign styles. There's some information on campaign types in the main T20 book. Check other versions of Traveller for ideas too. There's adventure seeds in the GT books and campaign ideas in the CT materials.

I have actually been thinking of writing fanfic set in the Sydymic Outworlds Cluster and tying it to the Galian Federation (which is just 'down the road' so to speak, with the Khurr League being right next door).

If you want to swap ideas let me know.

BE ADVISED:
"The powers that be" (in this case QLI) frown strongly on divulging stuff in paid for ,or currently in print material for free..

Now if someone were to nitpick, this is copywritten material. Its written, and pubbed.
Your inability to purchase it does not mean you get it for nothing from those who purchased it.

Do not advocate piracy of copywritten material again.

period.

PM me if this wasn't clear enough, Jame,

sincerely,
