Gauss support rendering

After wading through piles of anime-chicks/Naruto and fat girl pics on DeviantArt, I came across this;

Those rounds are clearly not gauss rounds - standard old chemical propellant. Oh, and a gauss weapon should have the chamber a LOT further back, allowing for more acceleration, and since you have no need for the blowback mechanism to chamber a new round.

You know, that's exactly what I thought when I saw the belt feed. But I kind of like the shape itself.

Magnetics.

What I want to know is where are the magnetic coils or rails? That merely looks like a standard LMG Slug Thrower to me, the barrel is no where near fat enough in my view.

My vote is that is no Guass rifle and you should report the seller as a fraud to the Ministry of Trade and Commerce.

Here's one that I really dislike, but only because it's from the Fallout (Wasteland) series, and I never liked that pointy tip at the end and the oversized magnets lining the barrel;

This one is labeled a Gauss Rifle, but to me it looks more in line with a high energy weapon...maybe even a personal disintegrator; the heavy kind.
