Gimp brushes for subsector maps

I wanted to make my subsector map with Gimp, so I made some brushes for the icons. It has one for each type of base, a gas giant, and a ring for amber travel alert.

For the travel alert, I like to use it at about 30% opacity.

You can resize the brushes if needed, but if you load the sector map (get it here from Mongoose) into gimp at 300 pixels/inch they should work just right. (that assumes that even matters, but that is how I did it)

Get the brushes here from my server. If these are in great demand, moving them to the files here would be appreciated, and I can update the link to that.

This is a nice idea!

I tried the brushes. I think they can be improved. Then we just need to make a GIMP script that automatically can make the subsector images for You...

I've got a lot to learn in Gimp for sure. It's a good start, methinks. I really want something I can add in info for each hex and bam, all the icons show up.
