GM offers his services for SF and fantasy campaigns. Bay Area, CA.

I recently relocated to Castro Valley, California. I wanted to offer my services as a GM. My wish is to play weekly, preferred, but bi-monthly would be fine too.

Here's the skinny:
1) I'm 42, been gaming for over 30 years, and am in a graduate program.
2) Age and experience: Age minimum: must be mature, and an adult. Experience: none required, just a willingness to learn and enjoy the campaigns. Must be reliable...no flakes! Life is too short.
3) Dates/Time: Weekends. Sundays probably being best for an all-day campaign. If everyone is enjoying themselves, i have been known to run the game overtime through the night. It's up to the group. My preferred times: 13 hours-six hours for one game, break, then six hours for another. I'm definitely flexible to the players needs and wants.
4) I'd love to run WFRP(either edition) and Traveller(CT or MT), preferring to run both once a week, 1 half the day for 1, and the other, the other half of the day. I own everything WFRP has ever put out, including non-official stuff, and most of the released Traveller material.
5) I'm willing to run DnD as well, certain circumstances would apply.
6) I have enough material and notes to run long campaigns, in fact, that is what i wish to do: Run campaigns that can and will last for years.
7) At this time, someone else will have to host, but in a few months(summer), i can begin hosting as well.
8) Willing to start campaigns with 3 players, but will take as many as 8(depending on the host/s). Trust me when i say that having many players will not slow down the game or effect gaming goodness.
9) I dont drink, smoke, do drugs, and am both reliable and consistent. I also bathe. I'm pretty tolerant of others so if you smoke, smoke outside, and if you drink, keep it to 1 an hour. Drugs, sorry, zero tolerance here. Bathing... do i really need to answer that one?

So there you have it. Please contact me if you are in need of a GM that is all about some serious fun. Please note: all my games are dark and gritty, and not sugar-filled.

Addendum #1: Fridays may actually work for me after all. The reason i am hesitant on Saturdays is that i am an assistant coach for my nephews t-ball team
Addendum #2: I have campaigns designed out that go beyond any advanced material published. We're talking Epic stuff. I'm very proud of my work and absolutely guarantee you will have a blast.

In my games, there are a few constants to be aware of:

1) The world isnt always fair.
2) Good doesnt always triumph over evil.
3) To call human beings rats is an insult to rats.
4) People lie for no reason.
5) Ignorance (and its sister, superstition) reigns supreme.
6) Careful who you trust, for you know not others secret ambitions.
7) Always watch your back.
8) Even Kings, Generals, and Hero's can die by food poisening, so use your wisdom.
9) What truly is good and evil? No two persons can ever agree when perspectives are argued.
10) "There are older and fouler things than Orcs in the deep places of the world." -and- "There are older and fouler things than humans living in the dark corners of the Universe."

I guarantee gaming player enjoyment.

Thoth-Amon

p.s. can someone please change my name from thoth-amon(on these boards) to Thoth-Amon, for the itch(i cant scratch) is getting to be unbearable. Appreciated.

Toth, you have my email. I'm willing to meet up, but I can't really host. My house needs work. I could perhaps accomodate three to four people once I get my ceiling patched up, but certainly not eight.

I'm itching for a good Traveller game with adult career-oriented folks. No loser-gamers please.

I'm interested

I haven't played a PnP RPG in about 20 years. My favorite was playing & running TNE campaigns back then, but I used to play & run MT before that. I even still have some of the books.

As for hosting, I live with my wife in a tiny one-bedroom in San Mateo... no way to get more than 3 people in here.

Let me know if anything is happening though. Sundays and a couple other days are good for me. Also might know one other guy who would be into Traveller or DnD.

Alright.. ya, looking at my copyright date, it's 1993. I guess it seems like 20 years ago! I did say "in about 20" tho... so maybe more like "about 15 years".
