General Gravitic Compensation for Planetary Bases

My ATU is growing like a jigsaw puzzle, with pieces coming into existence as i write my SF trilogy. I ran into an issue that cannot be solved without your help!

In my ATU, antigravity is not discovered until the 2130s, almost fifty years after interstellar expansion begins. I ran across a story i wrote some time ago, where a man visiting Luna City Copernicus in the year 2207 is using magnetic tabbies to assist him in walking.

Just as in the OTU, Terran technology lags with gravitics. Air rafts do not appear until around this time. So, here is my question:

Are there any OTU references to gravity compensation being used on planet? I have a character who invents a grav focus device, normal grav there but a bit less elsewhere on the planet. I am ready to fake it but was wondering if it was ever mentioned somewhere.

Thanks in advance!
