I had been a member here long ago and only now do I have a chance to get back involved. Traveller filled my youth with a great deal of fun. While I also enjoy the occasional computer game, I think there is something to said for the camaraderie of getting together with friends in person to game. In some ways, I think those avid players of Xbox, etc..., are losing something that made the most of the whole experience.
But I digress.
Suffice to say I am pleased to see that some fans of this old art form remain, even today. I'll leave with a few words of Carlyle in my wake:
A capital ship for an ocean trip
Was the Walloping Window Blind.
No gale that blew dismayed her crew
Or troubled the captain's mind.
The man at the wheel was taught to feel
Contempt for the wildest blow.
And it often appeared when the weather had cleared
That he'd been in his bunk below.
