Greetings!

I thought that I'd say hello. I'm coming back the Traveller after a 30-some year absence. I first got into this with the original books back in 1977 and played it pretty extensively until about the mid- 80s when real life got in the way (Army, college, career, etc.). I am amazed at the explosion of information out there and while my tastes run towards military campaigns (I cam to this as a wargamer), I'm open to other types.

I got the Mongoose version and I'll be easing back into this in the near future, no doubt hanging out in the Spinward Marches/Regina. ;)

I'm in sort of the same boat. It's been about ten years. I moved a lot and eventually ran out of Fellow Travellers. Then I got into a play testing group for a new game system and have just not been that active. Thankfully my long dormant account was not zapped. I just moved again, so am not sure if I'll find others with my particular psychosis, but am looking.

I don't delete accounts that have posts... unless those posts are spam.

I played pretty heavily from the late 1970s through the mid-1980s but interest seemed to fade out. It's kind of strange coming back to it all- I'm beginning to recall a lot of stuff. I always had a hard time fleshing out a game world on my own so I leaned on a lot of the "pre fab" supplements and such.

There's certainly no shortage of Traveller information out there, it's a bit overwhelming so I'm taking it in small steps. I'll be working up a small adventure to start with- keep it limited with the emphasis on brains rather than firepower. ;)

I think it was CT that said to start small. And some players prefer puzzles to gunfights, so you're on the right track.

Your info says "Red Wing".

Red Wing, MN, by chance? I am just west of downtown Minneapolis.

Red Wing? Oops. Should say Lake City, but yeah, Minnesota. I work in Red Wing, so maybe that explains the brain fart. Any good gaming groups up there in the Cities?

Sorry for the late response, still getting settled in the new house. :)

I'm sure there are a couple up here somewhere, but I'm not aware of them myself. But I've been out of the local gaming 'scene' for a couple decades now.

I'm working on a couple campaign ideas currently, but probably won't get to running them until "at least" this fall, if not next year, and may be interested in forming a new group by that time. In the meantime, house projects... ;)
