GROUP ONE Traveller product line

Hello all,
Does anyone know if the GROUP ONE Traveller adventures and supplements line will become available on a CDROM at some point? Please let me know if it already is. Like the Digest Group Publishing material, these Group One books now seem very hard to find(possibly even harder to find than the DGP books).

If anyone knows the status and where these might be found, please let me know. In fact, please let us all know.

Group One was formed by a number of Judges Guild employees, who, when the company failed, returned to JG. You may want to ask over at the Judges Guild site. If you get an answer, please let us all know. I, for one, am interested in the answer to the question.

Did he-who-shall-not-be-named finally give up on trying to make a killing by selling the DGP material back to mister Marc Miller?

I tried to connect with Group One via JG five or six years ago. Ultimately I was unsuccessful despite some help from the JG crowd.

Your best bet for Group One products is eBay ... and occasionally Sentry Box (in Calgary) may get something (they do mail order if you aren't local). It took me some time but I believe, as of last year, I now have the full set.

For the Theta Borealis sector, the region covered by Group One, there are also a few articles on the HIWG CD ... a write up about the Zerp, and a few articles regarding the Trooles Confederation.

Ah, the Sentry Box. I went to school nearby and all of my Traveller purchases in the 80s were from there. They moved locations after a water leak circa 1986 and some of their LBBs were water damaged (and discounted) for the longest time.

Speaking of - anyone know if they survived the #yycflood intact?

Another Traveller mystery. I've tried emailing the new Judges Guild website but alas no response. (Correct me if I am mistaken but that's where the Group One people went to when Group One folded).

AFAIK …

Judges Guild and Group One appear to have always been close. To understand that, consider that Judges Guild was started by Bob Bledsaw (now deceased) and Bill Owen. Group One was formed when a number of Judges Guild spit (amicably) and included Bill Bledsaw, Pixie Bledsaw, Marc Summerlott, and Debbie Summerlott. Debbie Summerlott became Debbie Bledsaw (I think she married Bill Bledsaw). When Group One closed, I think Marc Summerlott and Debbie Bledsaw went back to Judges Guild. I don’t know about the others.

Four or five years ago I did find an active forum for Judges Guild that included some of the original JG staff. Through them (the specific name eludes me) I sent a message (twice) to Bill Bledsaw requesting information about Group One’s works but there was no response. Now I can’t find that forum.

Recently I discovered that the rights to any SF-based products that Judges Guild had, were bought by Gordon Hunter and Quiklinks. I don’t know if that includes Group One stuff, or what happened to Quiklinks after Hunter passes away.
