GURPS Travller Timeline for T20

I know that I am going to be crucified for asking this but where can one get a copy of GURPS' Traveller time line without having to buy a ton of GURPS Traveller books? I am holding a campaign where the characters find an ancient device that sends them to an "alternate timeline" where no attempt to assasinate Stephron happened and maybe with the glimpse of this possible future the characters may be able to prevent said assasination. Anyway, if anyone can steer me in the right direction as to where I can either buy a book/pdf or visit a site than I can read the GURPS Traveller timeline, then I would be most thankful!

I'm not sure if this is what you need, but the GURPS website has TNS news articles dating back to the point that they started the GURPS Traveller line. I think it was supposed to pick up where CT left off or where MT was supposed to start. Something about Dulinor's ship being destroyed before he got to Capitol.

Try:

Hope that helped,

Yeah the CT timeline and the GT timeline diverges at that point. Some of the changes are dicussed in the main GT book, Behind the Claw and Rim of Fire.

To answer the question of what I am looking for: I want to play an "Alternate Universe" where Dulinor failed to assasinate Emperor Stephron and what 1248 might look like in a future where there was no assasination.

Hmmm...I'd ask MJD over on the Comstar boards :)

EDIT: There's some discussion of when the CT/MTtimeline changes in GT here.

I was looking over the TNE 1248 book the other day and wanted to mention some of the issues from TNE/1248 are mentioned in GT, like the Longbow Project and the Lords of Thunder (indirectly). But their long term effect on the GT timeline is unknown.
