halp...halp...

ok. a TL 12, factor-6 missile battery is comprised of 30 missile launchers, which does 11d6 damage. got it

a TL 15, factor-9 100Td missile bay is comprised of 100 missiles, 3 TL more advanced than our battery of 30, and more than 3x the number of missiles. and it does a whopping 9d6 damage.

i must have made a mistake here. please tell me where.

Of course, using TA7 Fighting Ships as a guide, missile bays fire 10, 2.5 and 25 missiles per shot. i stopped checking at that point.

No, I think you're right, although you should have specified you were talking about nuclear missiles. Even so, standard missiles are only 2 USP away from the 9 that both bays get.

On the other hand, bays launch a lot more missiles, which is where that 9 USP comes in handy in attack rolls. For the turret battery, the 11 USP only refers to damage. Attack would be 7 USP. Also, point defence would be harder pressed to take out the missile volley launched from a 100 dton bay (isn't it a 100 missiles per shot?), as opposed to the 30 that would be launched by a turret battery.

That would be because i evidently misread that. I was under the impression that all missiles did a base 5d6. Lets just pretend this thread never happened, ok?
