Help with Universe

I recently got a copy of Universe, installed everything like the readme file suggested, but when I start the program and select any universe at the login, I get the following error message.
(-2147467259) [XTG Systems][InterBase6 ODBC Driver], unavailable database

Can anyone help me get this working?

The Universe program stores it’s data in an InterBase database and communicates with it via an ODBC driver. The usual cause of this particular error is when InterBase is not running. You should have an InterBase directory on your Start Menu which contains InterBase Server Manager. Run it and check the Startup Mode is set to Automatic and the Status is “running”. Then try Universe again.

However, it is possible that this minor hic-cup is indicative of a more general failure during installation ... so if this doesn’t work, or if you immediately get more problems just contact me (the author) on hemdian@trisen.com and I’ll talk you through resolving everything.
