Hey Everyone!

It's been a long time since I posted here. Work, school. mental health issues, fickle interests, lost friends (namely BG and Kevin), and other Real Life obstacles have drawn me away from Traveller. I thought I'd drop in and say "Hi" and see how many of the old crew Ursula/Maelloc/Presidium crew was still around.

Greetings Mark, you are a near neighbor in Muskego. My new son-in-law is from Muskego. He and his father are avid RPG and wargame players, along with board games. I am just south of the Wisconsin border in Illinois.

Cool! I'm thinking of starting a Muskego-based RPG group. The trouble is finding an inexpensive and public place to play.

Try a local library, it's not uncommon for them to have conference rooms you can schedule.

D.

Hey, Mark! It's Andy from Maelloc and Ursula. Glad to see your post. How've you been?

Hey, Andy! Pretty good. I've been doing some irregular face-to-face gaming, mainly Old-School D&D stuff. I'm also been frequenting some of the local Wisconsin conventions (i.e. Gary Con, Nexus, and Gamehole Con) where I've run some Delta Green and Empire of the Petal Throne.

Besides the occasional IM chat with Bonnie, I haven't seen hide-nor-hair of any of the Old Group since Bryan passed.

How's things on your side of the screen?

I haven't seen or heard from anyone since Bryan passed either. I've gotten busy with kids/school/work. I'm part of a group here in South Dakota that meets about once a month. I'm about to wrap up a Traveller game I've been running so we'll see what the group decides after that. Another guy in the group runs a DnD 5th Ed game as well.

Do you know of any games online like we used to do?

Hi Mark! Long time no see. A few of the Old Guard are still around. However, we've lost Hans and Loren (among others) on the way.

Hope you can stick around for some discussions.

BTW, don't know if you've seen my pics of a Power Projection game? They're on my site (link in my .sig, below), under:
==> Tavonni Repair Bays
==> Images
==> Power Projection Battle

Watch out for the captured AHL - enjoy!

Ooooo Power Projection... I always like a good Power Projection game.

Being an OSR enthusiast, I've been trying to run my own local "Traditional" RPG group through meetup.com with little success. It seems here in the Milwaukee area, if it isn't Pathfinder or 5th Ed., it doesn't matter. Madison has a much more active Old School gaming community and are far more open-minded about new games. A friend of mine has run several successful Traveller LBB games at their RPG meetups.

Sadly, no, and I don't know if my current work schedule will accommodate such an endeavor. My life doesn't seem to synch up with the rest of humanity.

After BG died, I was hoping that Liam and/or John would try to collect as much of his artwork and gaming material together and publish Maelloc and Terran Presidium as he wanted. However, that dream seems to have died along with Bryan. :(

That's too bad. I know both of them have been very busy. I am friends with Liam on Facebook so I will shoot him a PM to ask about Maelloc.

Cool, could you pass him my addy (siefertma@wi.rr.com) and let him know I'm on FB and Google+ and I drop the occasional Tweet when the mood strikes?

My wife & I have a lot issues the last year ourselves. I haven't updated my site in months. I didn't run my usual Traveller game at Nuke-Con this year. I'm hoping next to be more active this year.
