How large was the Sydymic Empire?

The contemporary Khuur League comprises a single cluster that has 10 systems and just a touch under 10 billion Sydites. Khuur (Sopater) is the most heavily populated system, but it has an E-class starport, is balkanised, and has a tech level that places it in the pre-WW2 level. Khuur has obviously fallen from a great height.

Reading about the history of Ley Sector gives the impression that the Sydite Empire was a fair bit more extensive. If so, is there any idea how much larger it was? It can be rightfully assumed that the Sydymic Outworlds Cluster coreward was a part of the empire, which would have given them Sydymic Subsector. I'm guessing that Outworld Subsector to Rimward was also theirs as well.

I doubt there's an actual answer to this in GtD, but if there is and I happen to have overlooked it then point it out to me. Otherwise, perhaps this thread can be used as a point of discussion?

Picked up this from the Sydymic Outworlds Cluster .pdf that is freely available if you've purchased the Gateway to Destiny sourcebook. On page 53 in the library data for the attached adventure, it has an entry for the Sydymic War.

First, it was a war that lasted for 35 years. Looks like both sides got points for effort... EDIT: actually, if you count the time that Sydites began raiding Imperial worlds, then they've been at war for almost three quarters of a century. Imperial counteroffensives started in 640. Which begs the question of what were the Imperials doing before that time?

And secondly, the entry mentioned planetary assaults and protracted surface campaigns across two subsectors. That seems to confirm what I originally thought, that the Sydymic Empire was at least two subsectors in size. Only the Galian Trade League could have matched it in size, though likely it exceeded it since the League comprised the territory currently occupied by the Plavian League, Trindel Confederacy, and Viyard Concourse.

Actually, talking to yourself, answering yourself, and arguing with yourself is all acceptable - its when you really think you're getting independant opinions when your talking to yourself that you have problems.

Personally, I've always judged madness by when the unicorns start laying siege to your house. Now, if you'll excuse me I have to barricade the doors and get my shotgun.
