It’s not the size...ok it’s the size: Ship Dimensions

Has anyone found/made/heard of some good 2300AD ship size charts? I’ve been looking through the books and while there’s tonnages listed for ships rarely do we get physical dimensions. I wanted to try my hand at some 3D models of some ships but it’s more difficult than it needs to be without some dimensions.

Very roughly:

Multiply tonnage by 14, then find the square root. Length will be +/-20% of this.

For airframe hulls, width is 1/2 to 1/3 of this. Standard hulls can be as low as 1/10 length or a box.

Hull height is 6-9m, with airframe hulls higher due to vertical control surfaces.

This should give you a starting point for most ships.

Awesome thanks. That’s a great start.
