John Harshman

Besides Marc and Loren W., John Harshman seems to have been the third major figure in early GDW, including Traveller:

He also had a hand in Triplanetary and Imperium, and I'm sure a bunch of other wargames I'm too lazy to pull out of the closet.

What happened to him after the demise of GDW? Unlike LKW and MM, he doesn't seem to have even a rudimentary online presence.

John did a lot of freelance stuff during the 1980's. I think he's the same John Harshman of SJG (esp. Car Wars).

In which case the question might get a fuller answer over on the SJG forums. Loren participates pretty regularly there. For all I know John Harshman is there, I've not been looking.

John is a well known zoologist. He can be found on quite a few non-game forums tearing strips off creationists.
