JTAS questions

J.C.D.

SOC-12
I have a couple questions about the JTAS. I may be interested in it but am not plunking down 20$ until I get a coiple things answered.

1. Does it support GT and if so does it have items, weapons, ships, deckplans and such? Does it have adventures?

2. is Andy Hackard a mod on it? I cannot stand that thing and will not pay money to be on a board he has any mod powers on. if he's not a mod, does he often foul the board with his presence?

I need to know these things before I consider a membership on it. 2 years at 20$? Why not 5$ for 6 months?

1) yes it does (in the magazine at least). But it's one 5-6 article issue every two weeks. They're usually good though.

2) Andrew usually doesn't hang out on the JTAS boards IIRC. Though it's been a while since I've been on JTAS. Whether everyone else at SJG would allow you to subscribe or not given you have already been banned from the SJG forums is up to them though.

But for god's sake, grow up and get over it will you. That incident was your own damn fault and down to your own obnoxiousness.

Um....

Don't know you, don't know a thing about whatever situation you're speaking of...which I guess makes me pretty objective...

I don't know your specifices, so I can only share my hard-won experience.

"If *ONE* *SINGLE* *PERSON* (and only one) is keeping you from enjoying something you would enjoy immensely if that *ONE* *SINGLE* *PERSON* weren't there,
the one and only person keeping you from enjoying that activity is...

...You.

JTAS is worth the $$ for the huge archive of back issues alone IMO, esp if you've never subscribed to it before. It's for all versions but the majority of articles either support GT or are effectively edition-free. I haven't had the opportunity to run or play GT but I have bought many of the books and I got my money's worth from JTAS. As a GT player I'd think you'd get even worth out of it than I did. FWIW you don't have to visit the JTAS boards to access the JTAS articles.

I would suggest downloading the preview of the Best of JTAS vol. 1 on e23 and the sample issue(s) on JTAS itself. They're a good sample. If you're considering subscribing to JTAS it's cheaper than the Best of though not in a nice pdf.

Thanks to your continued over the top 'tude I'm reporting this post. Drop the 'tude please for your sake if nothing else. Any forum (not just CotI) doesn't want or need baggage from another forum. You've said your piece, we get it.

I've replied this once to one of your posts in an attempt to be helpful, but I won't from here on until the 'tude goes.
