Second MgT design attempt. A Giant freaking Shark with a freaking
"Laser" on it's head! No, it's not too much to ask, so here we have it lol. Deck plans in progress!
On a more pragmatic level, it's loosely sub-like, serves as a capable S/C or trader hunter/raider. Designed for a range of barely-star-capable to scary stealth hunter at TLB. Many minor 'tweaks' are possible: if a S/C was captured, could mount it's jump drive for a space-only capable one. a far trader, then J2 capable 'upgrade', power/drives come from a Fat Trader. Upgrade it with a stealth jump drive! Tactics of the high visibility (shiny!) ones to lure out response then jumped by the higher TL (stealthy!) ones. Able to carry up to 12 Vargr er, prisoners er, troops! It uses a standard cylinder hull as opposed to a streamlined one, the but the aero fins allow it to maneuver as easily as a streamlined ship (it can also hover then, no? or circle menacingly close! prices for that taken from the table rather than the text for pricing...) besides it's a Shark and sharks have Fins
Otherwise say it's streamlined, drop the fins (sniff), reduce the magazine to 2.5t (or just cargo to 10t!) and add a 100-300t docking clamp (gets J1 with up to a 200t ship) (prey is dragged into the depths er, warp...).
I figure the plans would be widespread (pirated!) a good raider/pirate/harasser ship, pretty dangerous 1:1 against most standard ships, sand provides pretty good defense, might have a shot against nukes/PAs because of the radiation shielding. In packs/groups, even more of a threat. I see these at large in Foreven Sector!
The TL B version would work as a contestant in the Fleet Courier design specs.
