Mapping Resources for Outdoor Combat

I'm wondering what software/web/etc resources people use to create outdoor maps for small skirmishes? I'd like to run a combat session that doesn't involve deckplans. Ideally, it would be something that is EASY to use. I don't mind paying for good software, so price is a lesser concern. Thanks!

I use Dunjinni for making maps, often in combinations with Battlegrounds RPG edition for play at either the table or online.

Have a look at cartographersguild.com. Someone there has made a good map with anything from dedicated mapping programs to photoshop to gimp to a piece of charcoal and a strip of papyrus. Some can even make good maps with paint.net, but you said easy.

Thanks for the responses so far. It's true I need something easy. I don't have a lot of time to devote to preparing for a game, so the quicker I find the right type of map, the better.
