The Krampus is a hirsute alien lifeform of anthropomorphic, bipedal configuration, the product of a genetic engineering facility based on the cold, wind-swept planet of Tannenbaum. Having escaped from captivity it has somehow multiplied to populate the desolate reaches of this ice-bound world, and some individuals have stowed away in the holds of starships to be transported to other reaches of inhabited space.

* This creature has a taste for human flesh, especially the tender meat afforded by especially wicked children who do not obey their elders.

* A wicker basket which he carries on his back is capable of holding up to 2+1D children at any given time. Any occupants, once inside, cannot escape unless pulled free by someone not in the basket.

* Within a 6m radius his terrifying mien causes a paralyzing fear in both children and adults. For this purpuse a WILL stat is required, being the average of both the INT and END scores (rounded down). If the victim can throw his or her WILL stat or less on two dice the aura of fear has no effect. Children under the age of 13 must incur a +3 DM penalty to all such throws.

* Children who are not truly naughty will only have their faces smeared with ashes, instead of being borne away in the basket.

* He is sometimes seen with manacles and chains, clapped on him by the intergalactic superhero St. Nick, but is capable of breaking free of them if he rolls his strength or less on 2D.

* Krampus can use his long horns for a gore attack good for 2D damage per hit.

* Can inflict a bone-breaking kick with his hoofed feet for 1D.

* His dense, shaggy hide counts as mesh.

* Ferocious in extreme the Krampus will continue to fight until reduced to -5 hits.

* Krampus can regenerate at a rate of 1 point per five turns.

Krampus...

I still remember him begging to beat me with the willow switch. I had previously learned the unique properties of willow when used in that capacity. I did not hear a single word Sankt Niklaus said. All I saw and heard was that dirty hairy face and the wheedling to whip me. His eyes and clutching fingers.

Then somehow it was over, I wasn't beaten, and there were spiced apples.
