Microsoft Visio 2007 Pro & deckplans

Stainless

SOC-12
The thought just occurred to me that many will not be familiar with Microsoft Visio software. It's designed to draw flowcharts of all sorts of varieties. And it does that very, very well.

However, the "Pro" version also has a section for drawing architectural floor plans. It could be very useful for drawing deckplans.

You can give it a go for free with a two month trial from the Microsoft web site.

I looked at this too, but IIRC it has a typical Microsoft price and doesn't know what Win 98 is!

No good drawing a load of plans on free trial, if you can't access them afterwards.

No surprise it doesn't work with Win98. It's been unsupported by Microsoft for some years.

The Visio files can be converted into a number of different graphics formats and the native Visio files are readable by Internet Explorer 7 or later.

I agree with the price, which is why I will buy a copy through my work :)
