Miniature Tigress LEGO Model

A preliminary study for a LEGO Tigress miniature (with stand) inspired by Marc's novel image and Jay Thurman's Deviantart image. This small model is about 1/3000 scale and is based on a LEGO "Lowell Sphere". I plan on a larger model to capture the true size, shape, and proportions of this behemoth and to add much more detail, maybe even an open maul. I have to do a lot more design work and get more bricks! The studs are rationalized as extended weapon and sensor pods. The style is an avant garde, cubist starship model style popular in one of the kiosks of Regina Startown for sale to Naval crews.

The inspiration I missed was Jesse DeGraf's cover for BITS Power Projection rules. BITS just set up a Facebook page with that image.
 
Just found another great illustration of a Tigress by Shawn Driscoll on the cover of Freelance Traveller #69. Somehow I had missed downloading this issue when it came out.
