Supplement 11: Animal Encounters
travanimalenc.jpg

Once players start venturing out from the safety of civilisation and into the wilderness, they will be confronted with all manner of exotic and strange fauna. From deadly predators that will stalk a heavily armed party for weeks before making their lethal ambush, to harmless furballs that make for good pets, Animal Encounters will allow a referee to create new creatures to populate his worlds, each tuned specifically to its environment.

As well as providing many examples of animals already discovered on distant worlds, Animal Encounters not only provides a complete system for referees to create their own, but also a chapter on very strange animals, such as those that live in super-dense gravity environments, or those that can be found floating in the higher reaches of the atmosphere in a gas giant.

Critters in Traveller will never be the same again!

re. Spinward Encounters

Those look good, well I would say that I guess because I was lucky enough to contribute something to Spinward Encounters (many thanks to the guys who got me that gig)

What I am wondering is, is the material that I wrote in Spinward Encounters Canon?

Mainl (what I was hoping) will the TEMPORAL TISCALI WINE (more commonly known as 'Old Dog' cos it's made by Vargr Monks) be considered a canonical item in the OTU?

(Saying that I still dont know if that actually got into the book because I havent been able to get a copy yet)

AWESOME

Man, wish you could see me right now, I'm doing a little 'Happy Dance' all across the room:.)

For me this is simply HUGE

Hope that Liam has a copy in the shop today cos I havent seen it yet

Yaaay, just got a copy

Looks Fabulously AWESOME (only complaint is that they didnt have any interior art, that would have broken it up a bit)

I especially like the cover;.) I'm just clutching at straws but it does look strangely familiar:.)

Oops, my bad, now I've had a proper look I see there are plenty of internal piccies
(and very nice they are too)

Alan

yes it is based on your amber zone, those things in the the background are fighter jets - yes every traveller wants to pit his free trader / scout ship against a phantom fighter jet :)

WOAH', very humbled (and chuffed to bits of course:.) by that

I have to say, considering there were much longer adventures in there by other folks, I'm very surprised (and priviledged) that my stuff made it to the COVER'

WOW, just totally stoked here:.)

Alan

the cover has to grab the buyer's interest, what better than a crashed ship and jet fighters?

Cheers
Richard
