Mustering Out

tear44

SOC-1
When I muster out from a career into another before i do my "final" muster to start playing, do I get benefits?

My character could have a few terms as a merchant, muster out with a ship and then have a career as a academic and then "final" muster out with a lab ship?

Or am I misunderstanding things?

But what If I do a term as a merchant - then swap to rogue, then go back to merchant?

Does the 3 dice on cash table apply to each time rolled or total for th echaracter?

If you muster out of a career, then go back to it you treat them as seperate careers.

The one thing I miss from the CT prior history rules is the enlistment roll. If you want to be switching careers that fast, I'd impose a check on the second and following career you tried to enlist in. Say DC 1, +1 per year past 18. Add the survival characteritic to the roll. Meaning once you get past 35 you are really unlikely to be able to re-enlist in another career.

Thats good idea, Tjoneslo, mind if I co-opt that fer MTU? I had some DnD3e convert wannabe's checkin out me spare copy of the THB last night at the game...I've seen em dicemeister before on Chargen...(I'm not the 3e GM), and THAT will come in handy!
